Shyam is a perfect example of enriching one’s life with learnings from your workplace. Through sustainability training and workshops at ABER, Shyam learned about the importance of eco-friendly food practices, packaging, and methods of waste reduction. This left a deep impact on him and the idea of ‘building a better tomorrow’ made him think about how he could replicate the same at an individual level. And thus 4 years ago, he started a ‘sustainability education’ program in his locality, in partnership with a local school wherein he teaches kids about eco-friendly waste management, waste reduction, and recycling of domestic waste for farm use. The program has been very well received and has spread across neighboring localities as well.
At ABER, we are proud of the work Shyam Mandala is doing, and celebrate his spirit of making a difference beyond the workplace. Through our CSR initiatives, we support and fund his sustainability education drives and many more of our employees have now joined Shyam in the noble work.
